Release 1. This is the first release of this unit of competency in the TLI Transport and Logistics Training Package.
Application
This unit involves the skills and knowledge required to ride a courier/delivery motorcycle while safely carrying loads, in accordance with relevant state/territory roads and traffic authority regulations/permit requirements for riding a motorcycle on public roads. It includes making motorcycle pre-operational checks; systematically, safely and efficiently controlling all functions; and effectively managing hazardous situations. Driving involves the application of routine procedures to pick up and deliver products, documents and materials from and to customers across a variety of operational contexts. Work is generally performed with limited supervision, and with duty of care responsibility for self in achieving the prescribed outcomes. No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication. |

Motorcycle is started, steered, manoeuvred, positioned and stopped in accordance with traffic regulations, manufacturer instructions and workplace procedures |
